Created in watercolors and acrylics with a touch of digital for the open sky bit.
The acrylics were used to create the foreground wave and the rest was painted in watercolor.
If you take a closer look you´l also find the little strokes of color pencil. These little details are what gives the image that final comic book art look.
This image was created for a greeting card children book type set of images and this particular one was done to represent a birthday event for little boys who dream about pirates and sea monsters.
